From the desk of the Managing Director
Firstly, dear friends of Amplifi, let me wish you a very very happy new year. May it bring health, peace and fulfilment.
The year 2016 was a very fulfilling one for Amplifi:
- 2 cohorts
- 20 startups
- Startups from Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad
- Launched the program in Hong Kong
- 1 closed their funding rounds # – 2 startups in cohort
- One more from that cohort is expected to close its funding shortly
Our 2017 plans/schedule :
- Demo Day for 14 startups in Cohort 2 in Mumbai, Bengaluru and Hong Kong – tentatively planned for mid-February 2017
- Launch of the program in Singapore for SE Asia startups
- IoT and AI programs Robotics, Launch of Fintech, US front office
December was a pretty hectic month in spite of the holiday season, with startups striving to hit their milestones for the month before the holidays. We also hosted some fabulous speakers on some very important topics.
We started 2017 on a very frenetic note as we head towards Demo Day and the startups go all out to be ready for the big day.
We look forward to seeing you on Demo Day and sharing with you more funding news of our awesome startups.

Elevator Pitch #2
The 2nd elevator pitch for our India-based startups was held in Mumbai. Mumbai and Pune-based startups presented in person while others presented via GoToMeeting. The startups pitched to guest judge and angel investor Ayesha Mansukhani – Director: Adino Telecom Ltd.
December 6 – 14, 2016: A month end review session for all the 15 startups was held by Sudarshan Narayan throughout the week. Each startup was joined in the review session by their lead mentor. The session was a recap of the milestones decided v/s achieved – to make sure that each startup had made progress towards its march to Demo Day. Milestones on product, business plan, financials, customer acquisition, marketing plan, market research, etc were discussed and milestones for January 2017 were decided.
January 13 & 20, 2017 – Full Fledged Mock Demo Day Presentation by Cohort #2 in Bengaluru & Mumbai respectively.
